Description
Winner of the Pritzker Prize in 2013, architect Toyo Ito is a renowned designer who inspired the creation of the Dynasty Display Stand. Toyo Ito aims for a light and transparent aesthetic. This description can be applied to Ito's building in Omotesando, Tokyo, where the intertwined trees served as inspiration for the building's original facade.
While the hands of our experienced artisans replicate the silhouette of trees from the front of the contemporary display stand, Dynasty Display Stand strives to convey the same feeling of lightness and uniqueness.
Malabar was founded in 2012, launching a wide range of decorative Fado guitars and the stylish World Architects furniture collection. It has designed and released a total of 5 exceptional furniture and accessory collections.
Malabar has made its mark at major international fairs such as 100% Design London, Maison & Objet, Decorex, Stockholm Furniture Fair, and Seoul International. These are among the top venues for showcasing.
Malabar's furniture production originates from the Porto region in northern Portugal, an area with a long-standing tradition of handcrafted products.
The identity of this exclusive brand is rooted in the architectural and artistic heritage of the past five centuries.
International experience and a pursuit of perfection are the details that define such original companies. Emotions, handcrafted craftsmanship, and space-age design create an explosive mix of luxurious furniture.
The use of various techniques in working with natural wood yields incredible effects, as seen in Malabar's exceptional collections. An important aspect of their design is the combination of neutral and black colors.
Vivid and striking hues dominate, markedly diverging from classic and stereotypical furniture styles.
In addition to wood, the manufacturer uses brass, gold and silver leaf, as well as other high-quality raw materials.
The Portuguese soul is very colorful and fascinating, clearly reflected in bold furniture designs.
The company's name derives from Malabar black pepper. Along with other spices, it changed the course of trade history with the discovery of the Cape. The value of original spices prompted Portuguese merchants to chart a daring sea route.
This remains true today, as Malabar continues to set highly individual boundaries in design and evokes strong emotions with its projects. They are very liberated, seductive, bold, and extremely luxurious.
And these are the products we love and introduce on the My Luxury Products platform.
