Herrich opened a glass manufacturing business in 1947.
The small family business gradually expanded its structure, while products were slowly replaced with lead crystal.
Lead glass is a type of crystal with a mixture of lead oxide.
It has extraordinary optical properties, including a significantly higher light refraction, which gives lead glass a unique brilliance and it is said to be more attractive than diamonds.
