Proportion II combines an eccentric and luxurious blend of black lacquer over silver leaves, radiant orchid lacquer over a gold leaf, lacquer with gasoline and caviar wood. The interior owes its softness to satinwood.

The base remains solid, made from lacquered solid wood in a piano finish.

The production of Malabar furniture comes from the Porto area, in northern Portugal, a region with a long and strong tradition of handcrafted products.

What raw materials does Malabar use in its production?

The company employs the most luxurious types of wood, including: ebony, walnut, American walnut, oak, ironwood, elm, basswood, olive wood, bird’s eye, burl, poplar, satinwood, and ash.

Malabar also uses ancient lacquer techniques. First, copper, gold, silver, pink, and tiger-colored leaves are applied, then lacquered.

The types of glass used by the manufacturer include: dark glass, smoked, gold, antique, and antique brown.

The marble varieties are diverse, including: Sahara, Gray Kenzo, Nero Marquina, Portoro, Gris Douro, Black Gold, Guatemala Verde, Tiger Skin, Ochre, Calacatta Vagli, Estremoz, Carrara gold, Carrara, White Extremez, and Travertine.
