The company was founded in 1987, revolutionizing the world of weaving craftsmanship. It uses Himalayan wool sourced from the fleece of local sheep for its carpets. These sheep graze at altitudes above 4200 meters above sea level, and their wool is rich in lanolin. This unique feature makes OC carpets more stain-resistant.
Beautiful colors are the result of manual processing and dyeing. Inspirations for the carpet designs include a mix of Venetian fabrics, Tibetan and Buddhist symbols, art, architecture, and – as with the Ivy model – nature. Many patterns are inspired by tropical leaf shapes or the hues of the setting sun over the picturesque Himalayan peaks.
All products from this company are handcrafted from carefully selected silk and Himalayan wool yarns. The dyeing process is fully natural, utilizing organic materials (including nuts, roots, saffron), while maintaining the highest quality standards.
