The Sole Luna model in Dark Grey version is made from wool and silk. The pattern features numerous circles arranged in neat rows. Each circle is bisected, with each half displaying one of several shades. The model name suggests inspiration from lunar phases, though the final interpretation is up to the viewer.
The Gio Ponti Collection brand was created in honor of the great Italian artist, as part of a collaboration between Gio Ponti Archives and Amini Carpets.
Inspired by the works of the late Italian artist Gio Ponti, a unique company was established. Products bearing the GPC logo are handcrafted from natural raw materials. These include Tibetan wool and silk.
Vivid colors and the highest quality raw materials reflect Gio Ponti’s style, as does the design itself. This includes geometric patterns, simple shapes such as circles, hexagons, triangles, and the frequent use of straight and zigzag lines.
Gio Ponti, who lived from 1891 to 1979, is best remembered for designing the Pirelli Tower in his hometown, despite numerous artistic achievements.
Suggestions for choosing a rug:
