Sartori is an Italian manufacturer born in the heart of Veneto, driven by a passion for high-quality design and a long-standing tradition of handcrafted knots. Their journey began in 1882 when patriarch Luigi Sartori started selling beautiful rugs in Verona, opening the first shop, and later in 1920, a second in Rovigo, specializing in home furnishings. In the 1950s, as the modern pattern of Sartori rugs gained popularity in Scandinavian countries, the brand embraced this trend and expanded its design market from Italy to the world. These luxurious rugs gained recognition worldwide, becoming a sought-after item in designer interiors.
In the 21st century, production and sales expanded so significantly that it became necessary to open headquarters in China. An important project was launched in 2008. Since collaborating with Diesel S.p.a., the innovative idea has paved the way: repurposing old rugs to create something entirely new and giving them a second life, in line with a fresh and youthful style. This led to the creation of the Vintage Patchwork Carpet, which tells a story of rebirth: classic or antique rugs are faded, cut, painted, and hand-sewn. This process results in a unique and highly distinctive rug, a noble blend of materials that fits perfectly into contemporary environments and meets the needs of modern furniture.
