Description

The contemporary Templo II cabinet is a fusion of the modern Templo Contemporary and the sleek Almirant cabinet. Inspired by the eccentric and extraordinary buildings of Gaudí, a Spanish artistic reference.

In its simplest setting, it elevates life and joy, conveys positive feelings, and offers a unique contemplative experience that transports us to another world where imagination expands without limits.

The modern Templo II cabinet stands out with bright colors, shapes, and design in any room of the house or hotel. It is a carefully hand-painted and finished drinks cabinet, so much so that its appearance resembles real ceramic tiles. This piece is supported by an Ironwood structure, and its interior is gilded.

The Malabar brand was founded in 2012, alongside the launch of a wide range of decorative Fado guitars and the stylish World Architects furniture collection. It has designed and released a total of 5 exceptional furniture and accessory series.

Malabar has made its mark at the most prestigious international fairs such as 100% Design London, Maison & Objet, Decorex, Stockholm Furniture Fair, and Seoul International. These are among the top venues for showcasing.

Malabar’s design originates from Porto, in northern Portugal, a region with a long and strong tradition of handcrafted products.

The identity of this exclusive brand is rooted in the architectural and artistic heritage of the past five centuries.

International experience and a pursuit of perfection are the details that define such original companies. Emotions, handcrafted quality, and space-inspired design create an explosive mix of luxurious furniture.

The various techniques used in creating products from natural wood produce incredible effects, as seen in Malabar’s exceptional collections. An important aspect of the design is the combination of neutral and black colors.

Juicy and vivid hues dominate, significantly diverging from classic and stereotypical furniture.

Besides wood, the manufactory uses brass, gold and silver leaf, as well as other high-quality raw materials.

The Portuguese soul is very colorful and fascinating, clearly reflected in the bold furniture designs.

The company's name comes from Malabar black pepper. Along with other spices, it changed the course of trade history with the discovery of the Cape. The rarity of original spices prompted Portuguese merchants to chart a daring sea route.

This remains true today, as Malabar continues to set highly individual design boundaries and evokes strong emotions with its projects. They are very liberated, seductive, bold, and extremely luxurious.

And these are exactly the kinds of products we love and introduce on the My Luxury Products platform.

What raw materials does Malabar use?

The company employs the most luxurious types of wood, including: ebony, walnut, American walnut, oak, ironwood, beech, basswood, olive wood, bird’s eye, burl, poplar, satinwood, and ash.

Malabar also uses ancient lacquer techniques. First, copper, gold, silver, pink, and tiger-colored leaf is applied, then lacquered.

The types of glass used by the manufacturer include: dark glass, smoked, gold, antique, and antique brown.

The marble varieties are diverse, including: Sahara, Gray Kenzo, Nero Marquina, Portoro, Gris Douro, Black Gold, Guatemala Verde, Tiger’s Eye, Ochre, Calacatta Vagli, Estremoz, Carrara gold, Carrara, White Extremez, and travertine.

Metals are selected based on efficiency and quality. High-quality premium metals such as copper, stainless steel, and galvanized steel are used. Specifically, chrome, nickel-plated black brass, polished brass, gilded brass, polished copper, antique brass, silver brass, brushed brass, polished brushed brass, brass, and hammered polished copper.

We would be happy to arrange a meeting and present all available materials about the Malabar brand. Our Luxury Products team will advise and select the most suitable furnishings and accessories for your interiors.
