Description
Laurel wreaths have long served as a symbol of victory, and in ancient Roman times, they were used as crowns for commanders and victors in battle.
The modern Evora mirror is a rococo-style sculpture with a gilded laurel branch, featuring a round panoramic mirror in the center. The intricate carving of the branch is gold-plated, as if Evora has been taken from the richly decorated walls of a century past.
The contemporary Evora mirror is a striking piece, handcrafted and hand-finished, designed for equally luxurious interiors that dare to match its opulence.
Malabar manufactory was established in 2012, launching a wide range of decorative Fado guitars and an elegant furniture collection called World Architects. In total, it has designed and released 5 exceptional furniture and accessory collections.
Malabar has made its mark at the most prestigious international fairs, such as 100% Design London, Maison & Objet, Decorex, Stockholm Furniture Fair, and Seoul International. These are among the top venues for showcasing design.
Malabar’s design originates from the Porto region in northern Portugal, an area with a long and strong tradition of handcrafted products.
The identity of this exceptional brand is rooted in the architectural and artistic heritage of the past five centuries.
International experience and a pursuit of perfection are the details that define such original companies. Emotions, handcrafted craftsmanship, and space-inspired design create an explosive mix of luxurious furniture.
The various techniques used to craft natural wood products produce incredible effects, as seen in Malabar’s exceptional collections. An important aspect of their design is the combination of neutral and black colors.
Vivid and bold hues dominate, significantly diverging from classic and stereotypical furniture styles.
Besides wood, the brand uses brass, gold and silver leaf, as well as other high-quality raw materials.
The Portuguese soul is very colorful and fascinating, clearly reflected in their daring furniture designs.
The company’s name is derived from Malabar black pepper. Along with other spices, it changed the course of trade history with the discovery of the Cape. The value of original spices prompted Portuguese merchants to chart a bold sea route.
This remains true today, as Malabar continues to set highly individual design boundaries and evokes strong emotions with its projects. They are very liberated, seductive, daring, and extremely exclusive.
And these are exactly the kinds of products we love and introduce on the My Luxury Products platform.
