The company was established in the 1980s, revolutionizing the traditional weaving craft world. It often uses Himalayan wool sourced from the fleece of local sheep. They graze at altitudes above 4200 meters above sea level, and their wool is rich in lanolin. This unique feature makes wool rugs more resistant to dirt.
Beautiful colors are the result of manual processing and dyeing. Inspirations for creating rugs include Venetian fabrics, Tibetan and Buddhist symbols, art, architecture, and nature. Many patterns are inspired by tropical leaf shapes or the picturesque spectacle of the sunset over the Himalayas.
OC rugs are handmade from carefully selected silk and Himalayan wool yarns. The dyeing process is 100% natural. Only organic materials are used, including nuts, roots, and saffron, while maintaining the highest quality.
