Everything started when Bruno Costenaro, born in Bassano in 1940, began to learn the secrets of ceramics. At the age of thirteen, he worked in companies in Marostica and Cassola. By twenty, he decided to create captivating ceramics from Italy, first with two partners in Vallonara, then independently in Pianezze.

As demand for his products grew, the company moved to Molvena. Initially, small-scale production took place in the basement of his new residence, but after many setbacks, he built a workshop adjacent to his home, where he still works today. This demonstrates that family-run manufactories thrive and create true luxury. The strength of the workshop was extraordinary, thanks to its level of creativity, innovation, export interest, and the company’s ability to overcome crises in this business sector, providing employment over the years to around seventy collaborators whom Costenaro trained in trade—including his children, who continue the business.

On March 26, 2000, Bruno Costenaro received the honorary title of master craftsman of the Vicenza province; as a tribute to his exemplary conduct both personally and professionally, he distinguished himself through dedication to work and generosity in passing on techniques and values to future generations. To this day, Ceramiche Bruno Costenaro remains one of the most prestigious ceramic factories in the area, always looking ahead, conducting research to satisfy its clients, and delivering high-quality artistic products.

What does the process of creating this luxury ceramics look like?

Each piece of ceramic from the mold is then hand-finished. It is glazed using the “a bagno” method (dipping), according to the colors chosen by the customer (for example: white, black, ruby red, cobalt blue, emerald green), and then fired at a temperature of 1020°C.

At this temperature, the glaze makes each item resistant and transparent. Finally, every element is entirely hand-finished by Italian decorators, who achieve refined details in gold and platinum. Fired at 600–700°C, the final product is delicate in craftsmanship and meticulously finished in every detail. After polishing, each piece is marked, and a quality certificate from the factory is placed in a small package. Items are packed in cardboard boxes using a modern packing machine that creates soft cushions wrapping the delicate articles.

This modern packaging method ensures that there are never issues with damaged goods or broken items. All boxes are then placed on euro pallets (measuring 80 cm x 120 cm), making the goods safer and eliminating problems with missing items. Upon receipt, the customer can attest to the quality of the product, having purchased an item from Ceramiche Bruno Costenaro.

Today, the company has expanded to include: gifts, complete series consisting of centerpieces, baskets, vases, picture frames, ashtrays, plates, lamps, columns, cachepots, mirrors, panels, candlesticks, clocks, tables, and swans.
