Their journey began in 1882 when patriarch Luigi Sartori started selling exquisite rugs in Verona, opening the first shop, and then in 1920, a second in Rovigo, specializing in home furnishings.  In the 1950s, when Sartori's innovative rug designs gained popularity in Scandinavian countries, the brand capitalized on this trend and expanded its design market from Italy to the whole world. In the 21st century, production and sales expanded so much that it became necessary to open a headquarters in China. A very important project was launched in 2008. Building on the collaboration with Diesel S.p.a., this innovative idea paved the way: using old rugs to create something entirely new and giving them a second life, in a fresh and youthful style. This gave rise to the Vintage Patchwork Carpet, which tells a story of rebirth: classic or antique rugs are faded, cut, painted, and sewn by hand. This results in a unique and very special rug, a blend of noble materials that perfectly fits modern environments and the needs of contemporary furniture.
