Sartori is an Italian brand born in the heart of Veneto, driven by a passion for good design and ancient traditions of handwoven knots. Their journey began in 1882 when patriarch Luigi Sartori started selling beautiful carpets in Verona, opening the first shop, and later in 1920, a second in Rovigo, specializing in home furnishings. In the 1950s, as the modern design of Sartori carpets gained popularity in Scandinavian countries, the brand embraced this trend and expanded its design market from Italy to the world. These exciting carpets gained recognition worldwide, becoming a sought-after item in designer interiors.
In the 21st century, production and sales expanded so much that a headquarters was opened in China. An important project was launched in 2008. Following collaboration with Diesel S.p.a., a pioneering idea paved the way: using old carpets to create something entirely new and giving them a second life, in line with a fresh and youthful style. This is how the Vintage Patchwork Carpet was born, telling a story of rebirth: classic or antique carpets are faded, cut, painted, and hand-sewn. This process results in a unique and very special rug, a blend of noble materials that perfectly fits modern environments and the needs of contemporary furniture.
All our carpets are handcrafted using high-quality noble materials and originate from designs developed in Italy under the creative direction of architect Paolo Sartori.
