The company was founded in 1987, revolutionizing the traditional weaving craftsmanship. They prefer to use Himalayan wool sourced from sheep grazing at altitudes above 14,000 feet above sea level. Their wool is rich in lanolin, which directly makes their rugs more resistant to dirt.
Beautiful colors are the result of manual processing and dyeing. Inspirations for creating the rugs include Venetian fabrics, Tibetan and Buddhist symbols, art, and architecture. Many motifs are inspired by tropical leaf shapes or the picturesque spectacle of the sun setting over the snowy peaks of the Himalayas.
All OC products are handmade from silk and Himalayan wool yarns. The dyeing process is natural, using only organic materials — nuts, roots, or saffron — while maintaining the highest quality.
