Bugatti T35 Nation Color Project car – Poland, 1924

For Ettore Bugatti, building cars was simply a matter of seeking perfection, an art to be presented in an aesthetic way. The Type 35 marked the beginning of an era in which Bugatti became the most renowned brand in motorsport for about seven years. Through the “Nation Color Project,” we aim to bring the celebration of colorful racing scenes from the 1920s and 1930s into your home. The rules dictated that every Grand Prix participant had to wear the colors of their homeland. This model is finished in Poland’s official colors.

It was France, a country passionate about motorsports, that organized the first “Grand Prix” race in 1906. After World War I, other countries began hosting so-called “Great Prix” races. As the popularity of “Grand Prix” racing grew worldwide, it quickly became synonymous with international motor racing. Black-and-white photographs in modern archives, however, cannot do justice to the vibrant racing cars of the 1920s and 1930s. In fact, because the rules stipulated that each participating team had to have their car(s) painted in the characteristic colors of their country, the starting grid was often a very bright, multicolored scene. Keeping this in mind, CMC focused on the Bugatti T35 Grand Model Grand Prix, the most dominant racing car of its time, to showcase the variety of colors characteristic of different countries.
What you see is a highly detailed, precise replica, with the main goal of accurately reproducing the color patterns.

The Bugatti T35 dominated Grand Prix racing like no other car of its era. Based on this vehicle, we would like to present the official colors of the country from those decades.

Each component is carefully assembled by hand. Instruments on the dashboard are mounted separately. The seats are covered with fabric or leather. The flooring is laid inside the car and in the trunk. The replicas feature the smallest details, faithfully reproducing the original plans of the vehicle.
