Bugatti T35 Nation Color Project car – Belgium, 1924

For Ettore Bugatti, building cars was simply a matter of seeking perfection, an art that needed to be presented aesthetically. The Type 35 began an era in which Bugatti became the most renowned brand in motorsports for about seven years. With the "Nation Color Project," we aim to bring the commemoration of the colorful racing scenes of the 1920s and 1930s into your living room. The rules dictated that every Grand Prix race participant had to be dressed in the colors of their homeland. This model is finished in the official color scheme of Belgium.

It was motorsport-hungry France that inaugurated the first "Grand Prix" race in 1906. After World War I, "Grand Prix" races began to be held in other countries. With the growing popularity of the "Grand Prix," it quickly became synonymous with international car racing. However, black-and-white photos in contemporary archives do not do justice to all the colorful racing cars of the 1920s and 1930s. Since the regulations required that each participating team must have their car(s) finished in the color characteristic of their country, the starting grid usually presented a fantastic, colorful scene.

With this in mind, CMC focused its attention on the Bugatti T35 Grand Prix model, the most dominant racing car of its time, to showcase the diversity of country-specific racing colors once common on racetracks. We started the project by presenting the racing colors of Great Britain, Spain, and Poland. Each item is limited to a specific quantity based on historical achievements and the car's appeal.

What you are looking at is a very detailed, precise replica where the correct color pattern is our main goal. Please note that we do not claim that the appearance of our model and its decals (e.g., starting numbers) are historically accurate. In these models, we also do not refer to any specific race or driver.

The floor carpeting is laid inside and in the trunk. The replicas feature the smallest details in accordance with the original plans of the vehicle.
