The origins of the New York-based company Warp & Weft date back to 2001. It was then that Michael Mandapati decided to establish this extraordinary place. Materials used for the products include Himalayan wool, mulberry silk, as well as nettle, hemp, and linen. The dyeing process mainly relies on plants, which is a very eco-friendly method of processing and will surely appeal to all who care about ecology.
All products are made in Nepal, where highly skilled weavers craft them by hand. Afterwards, the rugs are transported to Switzerland, where they are finished, gaining a unique appearance. Thanks to an increased content of lanolin, they are softer, more stain-resistant, and acquire a remarkable shine.
