These sheep graze at altitudes above 4200 meters above sea level. Their wool is rich in lanolin, making the carpets more resistant to dirt.
Interesting colors result from manual processing and dyeing. Inspirations for creating the carpets include a mix of Venetian fabrics, Tibetan and Buddhist symbols, art, architecture, and nature. Many patterns are inspired by the shapes of tropical leaves or the colors of the setting sun over the Himalayan mountain range.
