Sartori is an Italian brand born in the heart of Veneto, driven by a passion for good design and ancient tradition of handwoven knots. Their journey began in 1882 when patriarch Luigi Sartori started selling beautiful rugs in Verona, opening the first shop, and later in 1920, a second in Rovigo, specializing in home furnishings. In the 1950s, when Sartori's innovative rug designs gained popularity in Scandinavian countries, the brand seized this trend and expanded its design market from Italy to the world. These elegant rugs gained recognition worldwide, becoming a sought-after item in designer interiors.
In the 21st century, production and sales expanded to such an extent that a headquarters was opened in China. An important project was launched in 2008. Following collaboration with Diesel S.p.a., a modern concept took shape: repurposing old rugs to create something entirely new and giving them a second life, in line with a fresh and youthful style. This gave rise to the Vintage Patchwork Carpet, which tells a story of rebirth: classic or antique rugs are faded, cut, painted, and hand-sewn. This results in a unique and very special rug, a blend of noble materials that perfectly fits contemporary environments and the needs of modern furniture.
