The beginnings of W&W's New York operation date back to 2001, when Michael Mandapati decided to establish a company unlike any other.
Materials used include Himalayan wool, mulberry silk, as well as nettles, hemp, and linen. Most of the dyeing process relies on plant-based dyes, which will surely appeal to those who care about the environment.
All products are made in Nepal, where highly skilled weavers craft them by hand. The rugs are then transported to Switzerland, where they are finished, gaining their final appearance. Thanks to increased lanolin content, they are softer, more stain-resistant, and acquire a unique shine.
The variety of patterns means that everyone can find a unique piece in the Warp & Weft collection to suit even the most refined tastes.
