The New York-based company was founded in 2001 when Michael Mandapati decided to establish a luxury rug brand.
They are made using, for example, Himalayan wool, mulberry silk, nettles, hemp, and linen. For dyeing, primarily plant-based methods are used, which will appeal to those who care about the ecosystem and eco-friendly processing methods.
Each product is handcrafted in Nepal, where highly skilled weavers create them by hand. Afterwards, the rugs are transported to Switzerland, where they are finished and given their final appearance. Thanks to increased lanolin content, they are softer, more stain-resistant, and gain a unique sheen.
The variety of patterns ensures that Warp & Weft offers a unique piece to match even the most refined preferences.
