Their journey began in 1882 when patriarch Luigi Sartori started selling stylish rugs in Verona, opening the first shop, and later in 1920, a second in Rovigo, specializing in home furnishings. In the 1950s, as the modern design of Sartori rugs gained popularity in Scandinavian countries, the brand seized this trend and expanded its design market from Italy to the world. These luxurious rugs gained recognition worldwide, becoming coveted items in designer interiors.

In the 21st century, production and sales expanded so significantly that a headquarters was established in China. A key project emerged in 2008. Following a collaboration with Diesel S.p.a., an innovative idea took shape: repurposing old rugs to create something entirely new and giving them a second life, aligned with a fresh and youthful style. This gave birth to the Vintage Patchwork Carpet, which tells a story of revival: classic or antique rugs are faded, cut, painted, and hand-sewn. This results in a unique and highly distinctive rug, made from noble materials and perfectly suited to contemporary environments and modern furniture needs.
