The New York-based brand’s journey began in 2001 when Michael Mandapati decided to establish a company unlike any other.
Materials such as Himalayan wool, mulberry silk, as well as nettle, hemp, and linen are used to craft the rugs. Plants also participate in the dyeing process, which will surely appeal to those who care about ecology.
All products are made in Nepal, where highly skilled artisans craft them by hand. Afterwards, the rugs are sent to Switzerland for finishing, gaining a unique appearance. Thanks to an increased content of lanolin, they are softer, more stain-resistant, and acquire a distinctive sheen.
