The New York-based brand's journey began in 2001 when Michael Mandapati decided to establish a company unlike any other.
Materials used for making the rugs include Himalayan wool, mulberry silk, as well as nettle, hemp, and linen. Plants also participate in the dyeing process, which will surely appeal to those who care about ecology.
All products are made in Nepal, where highly skilled workers craft them by hand. Afterwards, the rugs are sent to Switzerland, where they are finished, gaining a unique appearance. Thanks to the increased content of lanolin, they are softer, more stain-resistant, and acquire a distinctive shine.
