The origins of the New York-based company Warp & Weft date back to 2001. It was then that Michael Mandapati decided to establish a company specializing in luxury rugs.
Their production utilizes raw materials such as Himalayan wool, mulberry silk, nettles, hemp, and linen. For dyeing, mainly plants are used, which will surely appeal to those who care about the ecosystem.
Each product is handmade in Nepal by highly talented workers. Afterwards, the rugs are shipped to Switzerland, where they are finished, gaining a unique appearance. Thanks to increased lanolin content, these rugs are softer, more stain-resistant, and acquire a beautiful sheen.
