The company's New York operations began in 2001 when Michael Mandapati decided to establish a different kind of company.
The rugs are made from raw materials such as Himalayan wool, mulberry silk, nettle, hemp, and linen. For dyeing, mainly plants are used, which will surely appeal to those who care about the ecosystem.
All products are made in Nepal, where highly trained workers craft them by hand. Then, the rugs are transported to Switzerland, where they are finished to achieve their final appearance. Thanks to an increased content of lanolin, they are softer, more stain-resistant, and gain a beautiful sheen.
