The beginnings of W&W's New York operation date back to 2001, when Michael Mandapati decided to establish a company specializing in luxury rugs.
Their production involves materials such as Himalayan wool, mulberry silk, as well as nettle, hemp, and linen. Plants also participate in the dyeing process, which will surely appeal to those who care about eco-friendly industrial processes.
Each product is handmade in Nepal by highly trained workers. Afterwards, the rugs are shipped to Switzerland, where they are finished to achieve their final appearance. Thanks to increased lanolin content, they are softer, more stain-resistant, and gain a beautiful sheen.
