The Mikado collection is inspired by the game “Pick Up Sticks,” which we played in childhood. One of its elements is this small table, which will become a masterpiece of the bedroom, adding personality. The bedside table features a discreet drawer and many different custom options.
This piece is entirely made in Portugal and crafted artisanally. Each stage of the process is carefully executed or supervised by the creator within a small workshop setting. In 2018, the Mikado collection received the “Silver A’ Design Award” in the category of “Furniture, Decorative Items, and Home Accessories.”
More than an architect or designer, João Faria is a creator of concepts, original products, luxury furniture, spaces, buildings, and interiors. A connector between the best of two worlds, sometimes so different as modern technology and ancient traditions.
