Art Nouveau-style clocks
Although most popular in Europe, Art Nouveau, at the height of its development, spread worldwide. The fascination with this mysterious, contrast-rich style, full of delicate, feminine patterns, was not only due to admiration for its form. Behind this style lay a design philosophy that encompasses entire lives, which takes on a strongly aesthetic dimension — the Art Nouveau style often dominated homes. They were built in the Art Nouveau style, furnished accordingly, and even the smallest decorative element was inspired by natural structures cherished by artists of the turn of the eras.
