A resident of northern Bohemia, Heinrich Arlt, along with his family, decided to move to Arnstadt just after the Second World War. One of the prevailing reasons for this decision was to enable the continuation of traditional crystal-related trade. Heinrich founded a company dedicated to refining glass in 1947.
Since then, the family business has grown into a world-class seller of lead glass.
Lead glass is characterized by the inclusion of lead oxide. Boasting extraordinary optical properties, including a significantly higher refractive index, lead glass has a distinctive shine and is said to be more beautiful than diamonds.
All Arnstadt Kristall products are made from the highest quality crystals. After detailed shaping, masterpieces are created, including exclusive vases, cups, alcohol accessories, and extravagant bowls made from genuine lead glass.
