The combination of these two highly creative individuals has resulted in a bold and fresh perspective on art. They proudly emphasize that Ongaro & Fuga is a centuries-old tradition, through which they revive the magic and elegance of Venetian mirrors.

Their talent was inherited by their son Julian, who continues the family traditions. Through collaboration with renowned artists and designers, he creates a bridge to the future. This is a great homage to family and multi-generational craftsmanship. Julian believes that every cloud or colorful Italian facade reflected in the lagoon waters provides vibrant material for new projects. Many of these majestic mirrors are faithful reproductions of historic pieces. Ongaro & Fuga is part of the Consorzio Promovetro di Murano – a very important consortium, which is a member of Confartigianato Venezia and Confindustria Venezia. For over twenty years, they have been actively working to strengthen the image of artistic glass to preserve and defend the thousand-year-old Murano glass art. This is an extremely important initiative that does a lot of good for cultural heritage. Ongaro and Fuga are proud of their Promovetro certification for producing their mirrors on Murano.

What does production look like?

That is why Ongaro & Fuga’s exquisite mirrors come at a premium. The work involved often exceeds 100 hours and can include thousands of decorative elements. This is genuine luxury and a testament to how strong European family manufactories are. For centuries, it has been artisans who drove the evolution of the premium industry, shaping the final appearance of the product with their own hands. Everything begins with a sketch on paper. Then, the glass is gradually shaped to fit the design. Using very delicate and smooth diamond grinding stones. Step by step, refining sharp edges and uneven surfaces. And so, from a brilliant idea, an exclusive harmony emerges that combines tradition with modernity! It’s magic—these mirrors, if desired, will become the focal point of your interior.
