The collaboration of these two highly creative individuals resulted in a distinctive and fresh perspective on art. They proudly emphasize that Ongaro & Fuga embodies a centuries-old tradition, reviving the magic and elegant Venetian mirrors.

Their talent was inherited by their son Julian, who continues the family traditions. Through collaboration with renowned artists and designers, he creates a bridge to the future. This is a significant nod to family and multi-generational craftsmanship. Julian believes that every cloud or colorful Italian façade reflecting in the lagoon waters provides vibrant material for new projects. Many of these majestic mirrors are faithful reproductions of historic pieces. Ongaro & Fuga is part of the Consorzio Promovetro di Murano – a very important consortium that is a member of Confartigianato Venezia and Confindustria Venezia. For over twenty years, they have been actively working to enhance the image of artistic glass to preserve and defend the thousand-year-old Murano glass art. This is an incredibly important initiative that does much good for cultural heritage. Ongaro and Fuga are proud to hold the Promovetro certification for producing their mirrors on Murano.

What does the production look like?

That is why Ongaro & Fuga’s exquisite mirrors come at a price. The work involved often exceeds 100 hours and can include thousands of decorative elements. This is true luxury and a testament to how strong European family workshops are. For centuries, it has been artisans who drove the evolution of the premium industry, shaping the final appearance of the product with their own hands. Everything begins with a sketch on paper. Then, the glass is gradually shaped to fit the design, using very delicate and smooth diamond grinding stones. Step by step, sharpening edges and smoothing out imperfections. From a brilliant idea, an exclusive harmony emerges that combines tradition with modernity! This is magic—these mirrors, if desired, will become the focal point of your interior.
