Description

The famous Portuguese tiles decorating the Camelia folding screens feature 17th-century style camellias, which still adorn many walls in Lisbon today. Combining hand-painted tiles, gold leaf, and walnut with a high-gloss finish.

The modern Camelia table is an extraordinary piece that brings cultural tradition into exquisite living rooms.

Malabar Factory was established in 2012, alongside the launch of a wide range of decorative Fado guitars and an elegant furniture collection called World Architects. They have designed and released a total of 5 exceptional furniture and accessory collections.

Malabar has left its mark at the most prestigious international fairs such as 100% Design London, Maison & Objet, Decorex, Stockholm Furniture Fair, and Seoul International. These are among the top venues for showcasing.

Malabar furniture production comes from the Porto region in northern Portugal, an area with a long and strong tradition of handcrafted products.

The identity of this exclusive brand is rooted in the architectural and artistic heritage of the past five centuries.

International experience and a pursuit of perfection are the details that define such original companies. Emotions, handcrafted craftsmanship, and space-age design create an explosive blend of elegant furniture.

Various techniques in working with natural wood produce incredible effects, as seen in Malabar’s exceptional collections. An important aspect of their design is the combination of neutral and black colors.

Vivid and bold colors dominate, significantly diverging from classic and stereotypical furniture.

In addition to wood, the manufacturer uses brass, gold and silver leaf, as well as other high-quality raw materials.

The Portuguese soul is very colorful and fascinating, clearly reflected in their daring furniture designs.

The company's name derives from Malabar black pepper. Along with other spices, it changed the course of trade history with the discovery of the Cape. The value of original spices prompted Portuguese merchants to chart bold maritime routes.

This remains true today, as Malabar continues to define highly individual design boundaries and evokes strong emotions with its projects. They are very liberated, seductive, daring, and extremely luxurious.

And these are exactly the kinds of products we love and introduce on the My Luxury Products platform.

What raw materials does Malabar use in its production?

The company employs the most refined types of wood, including: ebony, walnut, American walnut, oak, ironwood, wenge, basswood, olive wood, bird’s eye, irregular grain, poplar, satinwood, and ash.
