In this precious oil on canvas, Salvatore Marinelli is inspired by the Neapolitan school of painting from the 17th century, whose one of the greatest representatives of still life was Maestro Giovan Battista Ruoppolo, whose style of still life painting was particularly characterized by shades and dark backgrounds, somewhat similar to some paintings by Caravaggio of the same genre. An undisputed still life artist, Salvatore Marinelli reveals his originality and wise mastery in this valuable composition. This impressive still life depicts an abundance of grapes, peaches, pomegranates, pumpkins, and other fruits lying on a table covered with an elegant green tablecloth, with a mountain landscape visible in the background.
