Contrary to this trend, the philosophy of Berti Knives, a producer of exclusive knives for various purposes, stands apart. Founded in 1895 by David Berti, this small manufactory appears to be entirely independent of the trends that have dominated the world throughout its history. Its core principle is a commitment to tradition, maintained today by the fourth generation of these master craftsmen.

The founders strongly oppose the idea of mass production by random labor forces, which they believe would lead to the loss of identity in the knives produced. Therefore, their work philosophy emphasizes the importance of their skilled staff. However, this Italian family is not closed to innovations. They are very much welcomed, provided they add elements consistent with the existing vision and can withstand long-term quality tests.

Unlike others, the different stages of knife creation are not handled by specialized groups of workers but are often performed from start to finish by the same person. Thanks to this practice, each blade is completely unique.
The production uses the highest quality materials — blades are made of steel, while handles include materials such as buffalo horn, bison horn, deer antler, and 'bosso' wood.

The owners recommend that their products, although designed for everyday use, be treated with proper respect, which guarantees their longevity. Each one is a small, unique artifact.
