Fort Street Studio was founded by two individualists with a rich artistic background — Janis Provisor and Brad Davis, who decided to channel their passion for art into interior design. Their works, before they jointly embarked on creating a new brand, were exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art, Whitney Museum, and Albright Knox Gallery, among others.
