The philosophy of Berti Knives, a manufacturer of exclusive knives for various purposes, is different. Founded in 1895 by David Berti, this small workshop appears to be completely independent of the trends that have emerged worldwide over the years. Its core idea is a commitment to tradition, which is now being cultivated by the fourth generation of these master craftsmen.
The owners strongly reject the idea of mass production by random labor, which they believe would lead to the loss of the identity of the knives produced. For this reason, their work philosophy places a special emphasis on the employed staff. However, this does not mean that this Italian family is closed to innovations. They are very much welcomed, provided they introduce elements that do not conflict with the existing philosophy and can withstand long-term quality tests.
Unlike others, the various stages of knife production are not handled by specialized sections of workers, but are often performed from start to finish by the same person. Thanks to this practice, each blade is completely unique.
The production uses the highest quality materials — blades are made of steel, and handles are made from materials including buffalo horns, bison horns, deer antlers, as well as 'bosso' wood.
