Founded in 1895 by David Berti, this small workshop appears to be entirely independent of the trends that have occurred worldwide over the years. Their core principle is a commitment to tradition, which is now being upheld by the fourth generation of these master craftsmen.
The owners strongly reject the idea of mass production by random labor forces, which they believe would lead to the loss of identity in their knives. For this reason, their work philosophy places a special emphasis on the employed staff. However, this does not mean that this Italian family is closed to new ideas. Innovations are very welcome, provided they do not conflict with their established philosophy and can withstand long-term quality tests.
Unlike others, the various stages of knife production are not handled by specialized sections of workers but are often performed from start to finish by the same person. Thanks to this practice, each blade is completely unique.
The production uses the highest quality materials — blades are made of steel, and handles are crafted from materials such as buffalo horn, bison horn, deer antler, and 'bosso' wood.
