Sartori is an Italian company born in the heart of Veneto, driven by a passion for good design and a centuries-old tradition of handwoven knots. Their journey began in 1882 when patriarch Luigi Sartori started selling stylish rugs in Verona, opening the first shop, and later in 1920, a second in Rovigo, specializing in home furnishings. In the 1950s, when Sartori’s innovative rug designs started gaining popularity in Scandinavian countries, the brand seized this trend and expanded its Italian market designs worldwide. These exciting rugs gained recognition across the globe, becoming a sought-after item in designer interiors.
In the 21st century, production and sales expanded to such an extent that a headquarters was opened in China. A very important project was launched in 2008. Following collaboration with Diesel S.p.a., a modern concept took shape: repurposing old rugs to create something entirely new and giving them a second life, aligned with a fresh and youthful style. This is how the Vintage Patchwork Carpet was born, telling a story of rebirth: classic or antique rugs are faded, cut, painted, and hand-sewn. This results in a unique and very special rug, a blend of noble materials that perfectly fits modern environments and the needs of contemporary furniture.
Absolutely all our rugs are handcrafted using high-quality noble materials and originate from designs developed in Italy under the creative direction of architect Paolo Sartori.
