Murano glass (chalcedony) is a type of glass characterized by an exceptional, opalescent surface created by adding metal flakes to the glass mixture. As a result, a piece of glass appears to shine and shimmer, with colorful swirls running through it.
Particularly difficult to produce, chalcedony glass stands out because it combines traditional molten glass with silver salts and other coloring oxides. It is this extraordinary chemical process, combined with the talent of Murano Masters, that allows for the creation of marvelous works on a dark, opaque background interwoven with enchanting warm and dark tones.
