Their journey began in 1882 when patriarch Luigi Sartori started selling exquisite rugs in Verona, opening their first shop, followed by a second in Rovigo in 1920, specializing in home furnishings.  In the 1950s, as the modern design of Sartori rugs gained popularity in Scandinavian countries, the brand capitalized on this trend and expanded its design market from Italy to the world. In the 21st century, production and sales expanded to such an extent that a headquarters was established in China. A very important project was launched in 2008. From collaboration with Diesel S.p.a., a pioneering idea paved the way: using old rugs to create something entirely new and giving them a second life, in a fresh and youthful style. This is how the Vintage Patchwork Carpet was born, telling a story of rebirth: classic or antique rugs are faded, cut, painted, and hand-sewn.
