The brand began operations in 1987, revolutionizing the world of weaving craftsmanship. It often uses Himalayan wool sourced from the fleece of local sheep grazing at over 4200 meters above sea level. This wool is rich in lanolin, which makes Odegard Carpets wool rugs more resistant to dirt.
Beautiful colors are the result of manual processing and dyeing. Inspiration for the rug designs combines Venetian fabrics, Tibetan and Buddhist symbols, art, architecture, and nature. Many patterns are inspired by the shapes of tropical leaves or the warm hues of the sunset over the Himalayan peaks.
All OC products are handmade from silk and Himalayan wool yarns. The dyeing process is 100% natural. Only organic materials are used, including nuts, roots, and saffron, while maintaining the highest quality.
