The first steps of the New York-based company Warp & Weft took place in 2001 when Michael Mandapati decided to establish an exclusive brand.
Materials used here include, for example, Himalayan wool, mulberry silk, nettle, hemp, and linen. For dyeing, mainly plants are used, which will surely appeal to those who care about ecology.
Each product is handmade in Nepal by highly skilled weavers. Afterwards, the rugs are sent to Switzerland, where they are finished, gaining their final appearance. Thanks to a higher amount of lanolin, these rugs are softer, more stain-resistant, and acquire a beautiful sheen.
