Description
The presented product comes from the Lucio Pompili collection. It includes a knife and fork, finished with bison bone.
The times we live in are marked by increased consumption. Therefore, the items we use every day hold no value for us other than functional. Over the years, we often do not show the proper sentiment towards them, replacing them with newer models.
The philosophy of Berti Knives, a manufacturer of exclusive knives for various uses, is different. Founded in 1895 by David Berti, the family workshop seems to be completely independent of the trends that have occurred worldwide over the years. Its most important value is a commitment to tradition, which is still cultivated by the fourth generation of these Italian artisans.
The founders of the brand strongly oppose the idea of mass production by random labor, which they believe would lead to the loss of identity of the produced items. For this reason, their company's philosophy emphasizes the importance of their skilled staff. However, this does not mean that this Italian family is closed to innovations. They are very welcome, provided they do not conflict with the existing idea and can withstand years of quality testing.
Unlike others, the various stages of knife production are not handled by specialized sections of workers, but are often performed from start to finish by the same person. Thanks to this practice, each blade is completely unique.
The highest quality materials are used in production — blades are made of steel, while handles are made from bison, buffalo, deer horns, as well as 'bosso' wood.
The owners encourage that their knives, despite being intended for everyday use, are treated with proper respect, which guarantees their durability for many years. Each one is a small, unique work of art.
