The philosophy of Berti Knives, a brand producing exceptional knives for various uses, is different. Founded in 1895 by David Berti, this small manufactory seems entirely detached from the trends that have emerged worldwide over the years. Its most important value is fidelity to tradition, which is still cultivated by the fourth generation of these Italian artisans.
The owners firmly deny the idea of mass production by random labor, which they believe would lead to the loss of the identity of the offered products. Therefore, their company's philosophy places a special emphasis on the employed personnel. This does not mean, however, that this Italian family is closed to any innovations. They are very welcome, provided they introduce elements consistent with the existing philosophy and can withstand long-term quality tests.
Unlike others, the individual stages of knife creation are not handled by specialized groups of workers, but are often performed from start to finish by the same person. Thanks to this practice, each blade is completely unique.
The production uses the highest quality materials — blades are made of steel, and handles include materials such as buffalo, bison, deer horns, as well as 'bosso' wood.
The brand owners encourage that, despite being designed for everyday use, their knives should be treated with proper respect, which guarantees their durability for many years. Each one is a small, unique artifact.
