However, the philosophy of Berti Knives, a company producing exceptional knives for various purposes, differs from this approach. Founded in 1895 by David Berti, this small manufactory appears to be completely independent of the trends that have emerged worldwide over the years. Its core value is a commitment to tradition, which is still cultivated by the fourth generation of these Italian artisans.

The owners strongly oppose the idea of mass production by random labor force, which they believe would lead to the loss of identity of the offered products. Therefore, their company's philosophy places a special emphasis on the employed personnel. This does not mean, however, that this Italian family is closed to any innovations. They are very welcome, provided they do not conflict with the existing vision and can withstand long-term quality tests.

Unlike others, the various stages of knife production are not handled by specialized sections of artisans, but are often performed from start to finish by the same person. Thanks to this practice, each blade is completely unique.
High-quality materials are used in production — blades are made of steel, and handles are, among others, crafted from bison, buffalo, deer horns, or 'bosso' wood.

The brand owners encourage that, although their knives are intended for everyday use, they should be treated with proper respect, which guarantees their durability for many years. Each one is, after all, a small, unique work of art.
