The first is based on the idea that everyday objects should be aesthetic, primarily functional, made in an elegant, simple style — with symmetrical lines, from solid materials, where every element is carefully considered in the final form.
Art Nouveau is the complete opposite of Thistle — decorated objects that combine functionality with artistic craftsmanship, elaborate Art Deco, and asymmetry.
