The times we live in are characterized by increased consumption. Therefore, the items we use daily are often valued only for their utility. Each year, we often part with the sentiment they once held, replacing them with newer models.

However, the philosophy of Berti Knives differs from this approach, as they produce exceptional knives for various purposes. Founded in 1895 by David Berti, this small manufactory appears to be entirely independent of the trends that have influenced the industry over the years. Their core principle is loyalty to tradition, which is still maintained by the fourth generation of experienced artisans.

The founders of the brand strongly oppose the idea of mass production by unskilled labor, which they believe would lead to the loss of identity of the offered products. Therefore, their manufacturing philosophy places great emphasis on the employed personnel. This does not mean, however, that this Italian family is closed to innovations. They are very welcome, provided they do not conflict with the existing philosophy and can withstand years of quality testing.

Unlike competitors, the various stages of knife production are not handled by specialized groups of artisans but are often carried out from start to finish by the same person. Thanks to this practice, each blade is completely unique.
The highest quality materials are used in production — blades are made of steel, while handles are made from materials such as buffalo horn, bison horn, deer antler, or 'bosso' wood.

The owners recommend that, despite being designed for everyday use, their knives should be treated with proper respect, which guarantees their durability for many years. Each one is a small, unique artifact.
