A unique pair of 19th century German carved gnomes

A pair of cheerful gnome carvings crafted from German-origin bone gnomes from the second half of the 19th century. The carved bone pedestal features a standing, smiling gnome holding a covered mug in one hand and a bunch of keys in the other; the second gnome figure with slippers sitting on rocks, attached to the base with a metal pin.
