A unique pair of 19th century German carved gnomes

A pair of cheerful gnome carvings crafted from German-origin bone from the second half of the 19th century. The carved bone pedestal features a smiling gnome standing, holding a covered mug in one hand and a set of keys in the other; the second gnome figure, wearing slippers and sitting on rocks, is attached to the base with a metal pin.
