A stunning piece of art was created by Giorgio Grosselle, a craftsman from Wave Murano Glass, in collaboration with Lara Grosselle, his daughter. The creative genius comes to life through lettering, glass scraps, cuts, grinding excesses and small shards, which are then glued onto canvas to produce the finished piece. Everything is reworked according to his whim to breathe life into exceptional objects: not only because of their artistic value but also due to the environmental significance—giving new life and value to what would otherwise be discarded.
Various elements are fused using an electric “book” kiln inside a refractory stone frame to enable them to merge into a single mass. All is then glued onto canvas and hand-painted by Giorgio and Lara Grosselle.
The Italian Wave Murano Glass manufactory was founded in January 2017 out of Roberto Beltrami’s passion for glass art, which is rooted on the island of Murano (Venice), where this renowned craft has been developing since ancient times. The producer specializes in creating unique and exclusive Murano glass products.
