DINO 2.0
DINO is a tribute to Dino Gavina, who reclaimed this incredible anonymous design and reintroduced it into production in 1974 for the company Metalmobili in Saltara. Enrico Tonucci redesigned this folding chair, enlarging its proportions and continuously enhancing seating comfort. The details are meticulously crafted from polished aluminium, with selected wood veneers and fabrics. A distinctive feature of this chair is that the backrest doubles as a bag, allowing you to store and carry the entire folded chair.
Their history is the story of a company designing and producing sustainable, high-quality handcrafted furniture. Tonucci Collection is a workshop of Tonucci Design studio.
Studio Tonucci Design was founded in 1970, when Enrico Tonucci began his design career working with prominent Italian and international furniture brands, gaining significant experience as a designer and, over the years, as an entrepreneur through the creation and management of Triangolo, Arte Cuoio, and Teatro delle Muse companies. Viola Tonucci, who studied in Urbino and at IED in Milan, graduating in graphic design and industrial design with a specialization in jewelry design, started collaborating with the studio in 2004, becoming a partner in 2012, and in 2022 acquired a majority stake and took over the management of the brand.
Currently, the team consists of a handful of trusted collaborators who complement the sales and production departments.
MISSION
The creation of furniture and interior accessories for this brand is carried out using natural materials with respect for the environment and people. The company's mission is to genuinely combine design and manufacturing processes to create beauty and comfort, taking into account new environmental sensitivities and care for the well-being of individuals in both public and private spaces.
All production takes place in Italy, carried out by the finest artisans from the regions between Marche and Romania.
