The origins of the New York-based company Warp & Weft date back to 2001, when Michael Mandapati decided to establish a luxury rug company. They use yarns made from Himalayan wool and mulberry silk, as well as nettle, hemp, and linen. Plants also participate in the dyeing process, which will surely appeal to those who care about eco-friendly processing methods.
Each product is handmade in Nepal by highly skilled workers. Afterwards, the rugs are sent to Switzerland, where they are finished and acquire their distinctive appearance. Thanks to increased amounts of lanolin, they are softer, more stain-resistant, and have a beautiful sheen.
