Although it is often the case that functional items are underestimated, W&W products are a perfect example that they can be as beautiful as a symphony. Delicate yet durable, soft, shiny, stain-resistant, and truly unique – we present W&W rugs.
The first steps of the New York-based company Warp & Weft date back to 2001, when Michael Mandapati decided to establish a luxury rug company. Their production uses Himalayan wool yarns and mulberry silk, as well as nettle, hemp, and linen. Plants also participate in the dyeing process, which will surely appeal to those who care about eco-friendly processing methods.
Each product is made in Nepal, where highly skilled workers craft them by hand. Then, the rugs are shipped to Switzerland, where they are finished and acquire their unique appearance. Thanks to increased lanolin content, they are also softer, more stain-resistant, and gain a beautiful sheen.
