Model Bark II in Fog version is made from wool blended with silk at a density of 100 knots per square meter.
Although applied arts are often pushed to the margins and underestimated, W&W products are the perfect example that it can be as magnificent as a symphony. Delicate yet durable, fluffy, shiny, stain-resistant, and above all unique – these are exactly what W&W rugs are like.
The beginnings of Warp & Weft’s New York operation date back to 2001. It was then that Michael Mandapati decided to establish a company unlike any other.
The rugs are made using, among others, Himalayan wool, mulberry silk, as well as nettles, hemp, and linen. Most of the dyeing process uses plants, which will surely appeal to those who care about the environment.
Each product is handcrafted in Nepal by highly talented artisans. Afterwards, the rugs are shipped to Switzerland, where they are finished, gaining a unique appearance. Thanks to increased lanolin content, they are softer, more stain-resistant, and have a beautiful sheen.
The variety of patterns means that Warp & Weft’s collection offers a gem to suit even the most refined preferences.
