The origins of the New York-based Warp & Weft brand date back to 2001. At that time, Michael Mandapati decided to establish an exclusive company using Himalayan wool, mulberry silk, nettles, hemp, and linen in its production. Most of the dyeing is done with plants, which will surely appeal to those who care about ecology.
Each product is made in Nepal, where highly skilled weavers craft them by hand. Afterwards, the rugs are sent to Switzerland for finishing, giving them their final appearance. Thanks to a higher content of lanolin, these products are softer, more stain-resistant, and gain a unique shine.
